IMI Introduces Enhanced Programmes to Meet Evolving Leadership and Management Needs
At IMI, we believe that leadership and management development must continually evolve.
In response to invaluable client feedback, changing industry demands, and insights from our faculty, we’ve updated several of our programmes. These updates reflect substantial enhancements designed to better serve our participants. For over 70 years, IMI has been at the forefront of leadership development in Ireland, and these updates highlight our commitment to keeping our programmes relevant and impactful in today’s fast-paced world.
Each programme now has a name that reflects its purpose and the stage it serves in a professional’s career, ensuring a clear alignment with our participants’ needs.
Programme Enhancements:
First Time Managers (formerly Frontline Managers)
Tailored to those stepping into their first managerial roles, this programme provides a foundation in people management, planning, and delegation. The updated name makes it clear who this course will benefit, focusing on essential skills needed to lead with confidence from day one. Through feedback, we’ve honed First Time Managers to deliver exactly what new managers need to excel.
Advanced Management Skills (formerly Essential Skills of Management)
With one to two years of management experience, participants are ready to take the next step in their journey. Advanced Management Skills equips them with tools for effective communication, decision-making, and fostering team creativity. This name change reflects the programme’s support in helping managers enhance their capabilities and move confidently to the next level in their careers.
Management Accelerator Programme (formerly Management Bootcamp)
Designed for experienced managers and high-potential leaders, this programme goes beyond foundational skills to build comprehensive business understanding. It helps leaders “connect the dots” across finance, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration—critical elements for effective leadership. With IMI’s Manager Accelerator Programme, participants are prepared to take on higher levels of responsibility and develop the strategic insight to make informed decisions across departments.
Advancing Women in Leadership (formerly Taking the Lead – Women in Leadership)
Reflecting its focus on helping women move forward in their careers, this programme empowers female leaders with resilience, negotiation skills, and emotional intelligence. Featuring inspiring guest speakers and a strong peer network, Advancing Women in Leadership supports participants as they navigate complex leadership dynamics and make a meaningful impact. The updated format includes one day in person, two half-day live online sessions, and another in-person day—a flexible schedule that has already received excellent feedback from participants.
Our Commitment
Through these updates, IMI remains dedicated to delivering programmes that match the pace of today’s leadership demands, providing a platform for professionals to reach their full potential.
As we move forward, IMI will continue to listen, learn, and adapt—ensuring that we remain a leader in Irish management and leadership development for years to come.
